In the last few weeks America has celebrated both the anniversary of the liberation of the remaining people that had been enslaved (Juneteenth) and the nation’s independence from British rule (Independence Day). However, despite all this “freedom” in the air, America is on high alert as several states enact stringent measures in an attempt to curve the spiking cases of COVID-19. Technology has been used to track infections, and some officials have even instituted mandatory self quarantines for people traveling from hotspot regions. BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING.

The government, however, isn’t the only one that’s in your business these days. While technology has made it much easier to get in touch and stay connected with people, it has all but destroyed the privacy that was once a hallmark personal relationships.
